21 May BID NOTICE: Soliciting bids for 2025 Roads Program (due 5/28/25)
West Vincent Township is soliciting sealed bids for its 2025 Road Program. Bids must be received at the Township Building, 729 Saint Matthews Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425, M-F, 8:30am to 4:30pm, until 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. All bids received will be publicly opened on this same date at 1:15PM. Complete bid forms and instructions are available at the Township Building, and at westvincenttwp.org.
The work includes the labor, materials, and all equipment required to install Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course, in specific UTBWC, Gradation B, PG64-22, SRL-H at six township roadways. Materials to be installed total up to an approximate 30,500 CY.
A certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required to be submitted with the bid. The winning bidder must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond prior to the start of work, with each bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid. Bond shall be issued by a surety licensed to do business in Pennsylvania.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Township Building at 10:00am on Friday, May 23. Questions may be submitted to [email protected]. Questions received after 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 27 will not be acknowledged.
This Contract is subject to the following: Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions; Pennsylvania Act 229 of 2002; Pennsylvania One Call Act, also known as the Underground Utility Line Protection Law, Act 287 of 1974, as amended; Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 Condition; requirement of a non-collusion affidavit; non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Compliance Regulations Conditions; and the, Public Works Employment Verification Act.
Once submitted, bids cannot be withdrawn for 60 days after bid opening. The West Vincent Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids. Tommy Ryan, Township Manager.
