May 11: EAC’s Bird Walk – Flock to Opalanie Park on World Migratory Bird Day!

When: May 11th (World Migratory Bird Day)

Where: Opalanie Park, West Vincent Township

Time: 6 PM to 8 PM (An evening walk, because we know you want to sleep in!)

What to bring: Comfortable shoes, binoculars, and a bird’s eye view of fun! See you there, bird brains!

Gather your feathered friends and family (the “human” kind) for a bird-tastic adventure on the evening of Saturday, May 11th!

Join us for a leisurely bird walk/mosey at Opalanie Park in West Vincent Township, where we’ll explore the new trail and its two entrances into Bryn Coed:

1: The “St. Matthews Stroll” – cross the road and discover the serene little pond, just before Flowing Springs Rd.

2: The “Boardwalk Delight” – meander behind the composting area into Bryn Coed and strut your stuff on the boardwalk!

It’s the perfect pre-Mother’s Day outing to get your wings ready for a hooting good time and hear some trivia about bird mothers, from Valley Forge Audubon Society’s Patty Werth.

Please RSVP to eac@westvincenttwp.org so we get an idea of how many will be coming!  But don’t hesitate to come at the last minute.  There is always room for more.

This is an event of the West Vincent Environmental Advisory Council.
