Paving Work to Start in Township in July

Starting in late July, the following Township roads will be repaired and overlaid with a new surface: Horseshoe Trail (“HST”; from Saint Matthews Road to Art School Road; from Art School Road to Township boundary line),  Art School Road (from HST to Township boundary line), Barrington Lane (from HST to cul-de-sac), Saint Anthony Lane (from HST to the circle), and Pine Drive (from HST to the dead end).  When the paving surface is applied, it will not be able to have traffic on it for approximately one hour while the compound cools, so please expect minor delays on those days.  We do not yet have a start date for this project, but it is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.  You can check our website for updates as this project progresses.

It is essential that the roadway be cleared of all kinds of obstructions to be able to have the paving equipment fit the roadway. At a minimum, please maintain a clear area with no overgrown tress/shrubbery (or any other items) at least 4 feet off the edge of paving/gravel or curb back and keep tree branches above a height of 14 feet.  If your vegetation does not allow for the equipment to fit onto the roadway, the vegetation will be removed by the workers servicing the area prior to the work beginning.

Also, please ensure your mailbox is properly placed according to the USPS guidelines. Neither the Township nor the paving contractor is responsible for any damage to
mailboxes that do not adhere to the placement requirements.

We ask for your cooperation in preparing for the paving which will be happening on your road.  Additionally, this includes keeping the streets clean of dirt and debris before paving.  Having to remove items such as yard waste that accumulate in the street will add time and cost to this project.  Thank you.
