March 30, 2025: P&R presents “Get to Know Your Park” Hike (Registration Required)

At Opalanie Park on Sunday, March 30 from 9am to 11:30am

72 acres-worth of happy trails await in West Vincent Township, at the GET TO KNOW YOUR PARK hike, being held on Sunday, March 30 from 9 – 11:30 a.m. at scenic Opalanie Park – 1422 Saint Matthews Road, Chester Springs, Pa.

 This free trek is presented by the West Vincent Township Parks & Recreation Committee.

Guidelines:

– Consider bringing hydration and trekking poles, a camera (Opalanie is a birding hot spot), and wearing comfortable hiking boots.

– Fitness Level: Beginner (Expect an easy pace over a few small hills. Some parts of the trail could be muddy/slippery/rocky.)

– Adults and chaperoned kiddos (ages 7 & up) are welcome.

– Leashed dogs welcome, too.

– Opalanie Park is a leave-no-trace public space. (There are no trash receptacles onsite.)

– The park has one port-o-potty.

– This event is (light) rain or shine.

– You must register to attend.
