04 Apr 175th Birthday for Sheeder-Hall Bridge: Relive the Celebration!
On May 18, 2025, East Vincent Township and West Vincent Township invited residents to a special celebration commemorating the 175th birthday of the SHEEDER-HALL BRIDGE, the oldest covered bridge in Chester County. This historic landmark was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and has stood as a testament to our region’s rich heritage. Crossing over French Creek, the Sheeder-Hall Bridge connects the townships of East and West Vincent. An important feature of the design of this bridge is the Burr arch truss.
