17 Mar West Vincent names Tommy Ryan new township manager
Tommy Ryan has been selected as the new township manager by the West Vincent Township Board of Supervisors, effective March 17, 2025.
Ryan brings 15 years of management experience to the post, including most recently serving as East Cocalico Township manager in Lancaster County. Prior to that, he served as manager in Worcester Township, Montgomery County and West Bradford Township, Chester County.
Ryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Justice from American University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Villanova University.
“We were very impressed with Tommy’s experience and leadership skills,” said Dana Alan, chair of the West Vincent Township Board of Supervisors. “He is a strategic leader who looks at the big picture, but he also has a keen attention to detail that is essential to ensure our township operations are running smoothly.”
Over his career, Ryan has implemented several major initiatives including open space programs, multi-year infrastructure plans and budget overhauls. He is a five-time recipient of the Governor’s Award for Local Government Excellence.
Ryan has served as an instructor for the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors for eleven years, developing and teaching more than a dozen classes during this time. He also currently serves as an instructor for the Certified Public Manager program at Millersville University.
As West Vincent manager, Ryan will oversee the day-to-day operations of the township, collaborate closely with the supervisors and spearhead initiatives to address the needs of the community.
