October 13: FREE FALL MORNING HIKE (pre-registration required)

Take an invigorating Fall morning hike along our treasured trails & conservation easements with the West Vincent Township Parks & Recreation committee on Sunday, October 13th beginning at 9AM.

Experience an enlightening guided tour with P&R commissioner, Ken Alan, as he leads pre-registered hikers on a 2+ hour walkabout through some of the stunning woodlands patchworking the historical hills of West Vincent Township.

–          Range along the most picturesque stretches of the Horse-Shoe Trail.

–          Experience an exclusive tour of local resident George Martin’s 

           exquisite Jaine Lane property, taking in his manicured trailways, impressive rock 

           walls, and immaculate landscapings.

–          Trek across pristine French & Pickering Conservation trail easements.

–          Meet fellow hikers and gracious land-owning locals. 

+      Enjoy getting those legs and lungs active!

This free hike will occur (light) rain or shine.

You must be over 16 years of age to attend.

The pace will be a slow yet steady one, with some fairly steep inclines and rocky terrain. So, make sure you’re comfortable with your fitness level when signing up.  

The hike will last approximately 2 ½ hours and cover about 2 ½ miles.

Dress appropriately (hiking boots/long pants, sun hat). And bring water to stay hydrated!

No dogs or horses, please.
