Your Voice Matters to the Traffic Safety Committee!

The Traffic Safety Committee is a new ad-hoc committee initiated by the West Vincent Township Police Department. The goal of this committee is to bring volunteer residents together to discuss important traffic safety topics regarding all vehicles (passenger, commercial, agricultural), motorcycles, bicyclists, equestrians, pedestrians, and any other mode of transportation or recreational users who traverse on our township and state roads.

In each bi-monthly meeting, the Traffic Safety Committee, the WVT Police, the Board of Supervisors, and the Public Works Department will work to identify potential safety concerns and present in-depth discussions on how to mitigate problems along our roadways.

Attendees to our meetings will have the opportunity to hear guest speakers report on various public safety topics, and will also:

  • participate in the planning and implementation of educational safety initiatives produced for residents and local students,
  • advocate for proactive policies, procedures, maintenance and upgrades pertaining to our local and state roadways, and
  • receive updates to upcoming law enforcement procedures and/or roadway construction projects.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, January 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the WVT Building Meeting Room. All Traffic Safety Committee meetings are open to the public.
